What makes a trip to the Boxwood Winery even more delectable? Why, an operation:eatery family-style picnic, of course!
When we were invited to just-shy-of-Middleburg VA winery on an overcast March Sunday, team o:e rocked the pot luck and brought a bounty of savories and sweets to share with our friends.

Capitalizing on the most-famous of all Boxwood wines (the rose, darling!) Chef Rich marinated and fried crispy thighs, drumsticks and wings of ol’ fashioned southern-style fried chicken and biscuits. He also provided a fish option with moist and flavorful hunks of smoked salmon.
Office Manager Michelle showed her culinary chops with crispy tuna salad and perfectly blended pasta salad (not too much mayo here!) Heidi rocked out her German-Style potato salad. JC and Daphne rounded out the meal with bread, fruit and cheese.
Finally, no o:e event would be complete without a big pink box filled with CakeLady’s signature Stupid Cookies.

old skool german potato salad
- oatmeal, coconut, chocolate chips are the key ingredients in these salty-topped confection called Stupid Cookies
